Lauren & Jonathan, July 18 2009

Lauren and Jonathan had a terrific spot on a gorgeous Saturday night - the Newport Officer's Club. The colors were blue and white, and all ages danced and danced!

Flowers were by Semia, the cake was delish - but I'm not sure who made it! Photography was by Donna Caster. We had worked with Donna before - 2 years ago - and were so happy to see her again! She and her assistant Erin were a lot of fun!

Lauren polled her married guests to ask what their "First Dance" song was, and incorporated that into her play list for dinner. Some of the couples got up and danced to their song. Great idea!

Here are their songs:
1. Parent & Bridal Party Entrance: Bittersweet Symphony By The Verve
2. Bride & Groom Entrance: Beautiful Day By U2
3. First Dance: If I Ain’t Got You By Alicia Keys
4. Cake Cutting: If I Had A Million Dollars By Barenaked Ladies
5. Father/Daughter Dance: The Circle Game By Bill Hall
6. Mother/Son Dance: Simple Man by Lynard Skynard
7. Anniversary Dance: Fly Me To The Moon By Frank Sinatra
8. Last Dance: Chasing Cars By Snow Patrol

Elissa & Ian, July 18, 2009

Yes, another bride who's name starts with "E"! We never got to meet Elissa or Ian prior to the wedding, but we knew their wedding would be a lot of fun. Both graduates of Salve Regina in Newport, they now live in Michigan. Their reception was held at the Green Valley Country Club in Portsmouth. We also got to meet and work with photographer Michelle Annarante.

It was a morning wedding with an afternoon reception, and the girls wore a pretty navy blue and white bridesmaid dress, the guys had navy suits, and everything was bright and sunny!

Our hats are off to all those that danced the afternoon away. Sometimes it's hard to get people up dancing in the daytime, but this group was ready to party!

Here are their songs:
1. Grandparents Intro: Love Train By The O’Jays
2. Parents Entrance: Beautiful Day By U2
3. Bridal Party Entrance: Walking On Sunshine By Katrina & The Waves
4. Bride & Groom Entrance: Celebration By Kool & The Gang
5. First Dance: Your Song By Elton John
6. Cake Cutting: How Sweet It Is By James Taylor
7. Father/Daughter Dance: I Loved Her First By Heartland
8. Mother/Son Dance: Through The Years By Kenny Rogers
9. Anniversary Dance: Look At Us By Vince Gill
10. Toss The Bouquet: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun By Cyndi Lauper
11. Last Dance Bride & Groom: Everything By Michael Buble

Eileen & Tony - July 11, 2009

I don't want to jinx anything, but our brides are so NICE!

With the weather cooperating, their wedding was held at the family's summer home on Poppasquash Point in Bristol. Their family and friends came from all over to celebrate. Catering was by our friends at Fine Catering by Russell Morin. The cake was made by the Bride's sister, and check out the creative escort card "boat" that was created by the family. Navy blue and orange lanterns were hanging inside the tent, and gorgeous orange roses were placed on each table. Photography was by Steve Depino of New York.

The wedding party was lots of fun, featuring the bride's four brothers all walking in together. The groomsmen toasted together for moral support and got a lot of laughs. Social Networking was the theme of the Maid of Honor's speech, as she talked about when Tony "friended" her on Facebook. That is a sign of the times!

Here are their songs:
1. Parent & Ushers Entrance: Baba O’Reilly By The Who
2. Wedding Party Entrance: Crazy In Love By Beyonce
3. Bride & Groom Entrance: Wonderful Day By O.A.R.
4. Bride & Groom First Dance: I Could Not Ask For More, By Edwin Mccain
5. Cake Cutting: Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch By Four Tops
6. Father/Daughter Dance: New York, New York By Frank Sinatra
7. Mother/Son Dance: My Wish By Rascal Flatts
8. Toss The Bouquet: Glamorous By Fergie
9. Last Slow Song: Unchained Melody By The Righteous Brothers
10. Last Song Of The Evening: We Are Family By Sister Sledge
